Orientation elements pointing the way to the classroom

SGO Business School – Frontwork sets the standard

From the approach to the classroom

With the renovation and extension of the school building, the SGO Business School also took the opportunity to introduce a new signage system. Frontwork was given the task of implementing an attractive presentation of the existing logo and the new signage. This should not only reflect the professionalism of the school but also be in tune with the interplay of the existing and new architecture. The result should fully reflect the ethos of the school: goal-directed, clear and easily accessible. The main objective was to provide clear signage on the approach to the school to show new visitors the way and to guide them to the classroom with self-explanatory orientation elements after their arrival.

Supported by reliability and professionalism

As a result of our long-standing customer relationship with the SGO Business School, we were already involved in the concept as a reliable wayfinding partner at the beginning of the construction phase. In this respect, one thing quickly became clear to us: our perfectly coordinated in-house teamwork was once again in demand for the creative implementation. This is because the choice of materials demanded the professional deployment of many different areas of our production. Since we had the advantage of being involved in the timetable for the new look at an early stage, we were able to plan all the work with perfect precision, and then prepare and assemble it on site to schedule and in perfect form. Everything from the House of Frontwork.

No chance of boredom at school

The use of a great variety of materials was planned for the execution of the work. For example, flat fonts made of steel and PVC, precisely positioned stencil work, CI-styled privacy films and a light box which provides a relaxed atmosphere in the communal area were all used. Very much in keeping with the motto of the SGO Business School: “Professional & Casual”. And where can a whiteboard film with a magnetic surface be used to better effect than in a classroom? Logo elements or the logo itself, the pictograms and wayfinding elements now offer support through the various areas as a creative overall image. The result shows once again that corporate design does not have to be boring by any means.

Frontwork with top marks

The professional use of the various materials and the carefully thought-out placement enabled us to set the stage for a well-balanced yet exciting overall image of the school, which is in harmony with both the existing and the new architecture of the school building. The customer is very pleased with us: we are Top of the Class in wayfinding for the SGO Business School.
