Shopfitting, signposting and signage for a perfect presentation

Curtain up - for the first Fooby-Store of the Coop!

Fooby at your fingertips
An extraordinary shopfitting concept provides the Fooby Online Community with a home. The signmaking professionals from Frontwork have created the ideal ambience for the pleasure experience of fooby.ch in the tradition-steeped former Kursaal Théâtre in Lausanne.

A taste experience "like in the old days"

The new store format of the Coop raised its curtain for the first time in March 2019 with the goal of enabling the online offer of fooby.ch to be experienced offline. “Fooby is about the enjoyment of food”, enthuses the CEO, Joos Sutter. Touch, smell, taste: “like in the old days”.

Shopfitting for culinary handicraft

Fooby stands for regionality and sustainability. The new concept includes the smoking of fish, a coffee roastery and wine tastings.

The Frontwork professionals were also gripped by the idea of craft manufacturing – they produced, assembled and installed pictures in wooden frames, rayon inscriptions, graphics and price boards, everything perfectly handcrafted and tailored to the concept.

A new concept – Top Secret

Several last-minute changes were made before the opening, because the 1000 square metre concept store is a convenience store and manufactory at one and the same time – a concept which demanded a great deal of fine-tuning and the utmost secrecy.

A matter of honour for the signage professionals of Frontwork – nevertheless, everyone concerned signed a strict confidentiality agreement.

The working relationship with the interior design office “Brem + Zehnder AG”, the agency “kreisvier communications ag” and the “Coop Genossenschaft, Team Kulinarik” worked without a hitch and on a partnership basis.

From the www to the stage we call the world

The Fooby shop still retains many features from the theatre. The Fooby story has now become even clearer and more directly perceptible as a result of the new way of shopfitting and the sophisticated signage from Frontwork.

The reconstruction and renovation work started at the end of 2016 but has been worthwhile: the (digital) fans also like the new “analog shopping” a lot. An attractive demonstration that the Internet arouses interest in a real (taste) experience.
