The old and new skilfully combined

Bellevue Apotheke in Zurich in gold

Frontwork took part in the renovation of the Bellevue Apotheke in Zurich in many small stages and with an ongoing 24-hour service. The renovation of the building, which is protected from an urban planning and heritage conservation point of view, took one year. Maintenance of the 24-hour service was only possible thanks to a temporary measure.

Even if the pharmacist’s cross is damaged by vandalism. Frontwork offers full service. Picks up the defect light sign, repairs, renews what is necessary and reassembles the light body in its new brightness at the desired location. The multi-dimensional pharmacist’s cross is glued and made of green acrylic glass. The cantilever arm is made of aluminium and the widely visible 3D letters are pushed through. Modern LEDs, including a built-in converter, are installed for the lighting.

A beautiful temporary measure

Frontwork embellished the temporary measure with printed meshes, freshened up the neon signs and created a new luminous LED sign in the form of a green pharmacy cross. Traditional crafts, such as gold leaf application behind glass, were used in the window signage. Frontwork used glass with digital printing on foil for the overview panel and a digitally printed back-lit foil for the shop window display. Furthermore, Frontwork prepared mobile and flexibly usable customer stoppers. These withstand the wind and weather and the great streams of passers-by and are intended to attract the attention of the pedestrians.
