An art in itself.
Signage for the Toni-Areal complex
Q: What kind of signage should a building have which accommodates the University of the Arts? A: Simple yet spectacular with functional lettering in various materials.
The complex “Areal” typeface designed especially for the Toni-Areal is generally used in black on white walls and doors. Important destinations are also marked by black-and-white striped steel cubes. The inscriptions of inside areas which are accessible to the public, e.g. the cinema, bistro or concert hall, pick up the individual materials of the respective base surfaces. Frontwork constructed three-dimensional letters of concrete, profiled metal sheet, Forex and Duripanel for this and furnished the lettering with LED lamps in some cases.
