Meeting room in industrial look – vintage style

Meeting on the shopfloor

Our conference room should convey a special ambience. We like the rustic industrial look, but what’s the best way to recreate a creaky old factory interior?

One option is to give the Frontwork interior design team free rein.

The creative process ran its course. We allowed natural oxidation to act on metal, Forex sheets received a new coat of paint and wooden beams painted in a rust colour suddenly gave the impression of heavy steel girders.

Rivets and hinges from the 3D printer

Rivets and hinges came custom-made out of the 3D printer. Melted and shaped plastic filament was used as the material. The hinges were ground and smoothed to obtain the used-look. Paint runs were added deliberately to make them look old. Glue spray gives the whole thing an oily look.

In short: all possible means were used to recreate a creaky old factory interior which is showing its age.

Letters made of Forex form the Frontwork logo, which was styled in rust with special paint. A texture which conveys a tactile experience was incorporated in the wall wraps on the plaster by means of heat.

An atrium and a light box which conjures up a cloudy sky of textile on the ceiling complete the work.

Welcome to our (ideas) factory!

When can we welcome you to our meeting?

NEW becomes FAKE!

Vintage design in the restaurant trade

Vintage design in the restaurant trade: Frontwork processed the wall cladding of the serving counter with a hammer and chisel by order of Cha Cha Thai Restaurants.

The look creates the atmosphere of a cookshop in the hustle and bustle of a large Asian city. The combination of friendliness and excitement will enable the restaurant to attract the younger generation.
